William Davis Dudley
William is the son of Delana (Lana) Durfee Dudley Ford. In the 1850 Iowa census he appears as "William Ford" age 7; again, in the 1856 Utah Territorial census he is "William Ford." He traveled with his mother, step-father, half-brother and half sister.
The Ford family came to Utah in 1851. They appear in the 1850 Iowa census (taken in September) and William and Delana appear in Utah Stake City Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 20 July 1852, which was prior to the time that any of that season's emigrants arrived in the Valley. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company they traveled with.
