William Field
William was from England but came to Utah by way of Canada. In 1847 he crossed the plains with his daughters Mary, Elizabeth, and Sarah. John Taylor was captain of their hundred in the Hunter-Horne Company. Mary, Elizabeth, and Sarah were re-baptized at Salt Lake City, February 1848, but they and their father were back in St Louis at the time of the 1850 federal census. William led a pioneer company to Utah in 1854 and was in California by 1860.
