William Harvey Ewing
Death date from William's gravestone in the Provo, Utah cemetery. Some sources give his death date as 1874 or 1877 but these dates are incorrect because William and his family appear in the 1880 Utah census living in Provo. The family then consisted of: William H. Ewing, "Pauline" Ewing [actually Philena] and William.”
His given name is listed as "Harry" on the Journal History roster.
Birth date confirmed by Utah Stake City Ward records at the time of a rebaptism on 19 July 1852. A List of the names of the inhabitants of the Utah settlement, 1849 June 7 says his birthdate is May 1830.
