William Hewitt

Birth date confirmed at the time of a rebaptism on 7 August 1864. It is likely that his wife, Mary Ann Girdlestone Phelps Hewitt, and children, Henry and Emma, also traveled to Utah prior to 1868, but the first documentation to place them Utah is the 1880 Utah census, after William is dead. Further research is needed to place them on the trail.
