William Lockhart Hamilton Moyes
William traveled with his widowed mother, Elizabeth Hutchison Moyes and some of his siblings (Stewart, Margaret, and John). They traveled from Scotland, arriving in New York on the ship Arkwright on 6 July 1866. Though only the heads of household are listed on the overland company's record, the number of adult rations of food purchased by Elizabeth is a good indication that all of the family members that made the trip by sea, also traveled together in the overland company. The roster indicates she purchased 6 adult rations. It is uncertain who the 6th person was that was traveling with them.
