William Lorenzo Mitchell
He sailed to America in 1860 on the ship Underwriter. The ship manifest lists Sarah Ann Mitchell, a 19-year-old "spinster" as traveling with him. This is his wife, not his sister. This is confirmed by the PEF promissory note which lists William, his wife, and two of their children, William and Sarah Elizabeth. Although he is not listed on the promissory note, their infant son John also accompanied them. He is listed on the company roster printed in the Deseret News. His sister, Rhoda, and a cousin, Alice Elisabeth Green, also traveled with them in the Rawlins company.
