Although not directly listed in the memorandum book, David (William's father) purchased enough food rations for six people.  According to New York passenger lists, the Davies' traveled from Liverpool to New York aboard the Colorado, arriving 28 July 1868.

Surname on New York passenger manifest and 1870 Utah census is "Reece".  The memorandum book is lists the family surname as "Rees".  Later documentation alters between "Davis" and "Davies".
