William S. Spiring

William and Mercy sailed to the U.S. in 1862 on the William Tapscott. They divorced on 15 January 1863 in Salt Lake City. William married Emma Salmon in 1865.

Surname also appears as "Spering," "Speiring," "Spireing," and "Spring."

William does not appear on the 1870 census. It is possible that he died before that year.
