William Sim
William, his wife and children, all arrived in New York on 14 July 1868 via the ship John Bright. Family tradition indicates that the family traveled with the 1868 John Murdock company, but further research is needed to verify that.
William's name appears in the Daniel D. McArthur 1868 memorandum book as purchasing enough rations for one person, so it is most likely he was traveling alone. However, this could be documentation of his travels, or of his son of the same name.
In some sources his surname is spelled "Simm".
