William Simmons Smith

Evidence from emigration and church records proves that William traveled to Utah in 1855 or 1856. He sailed to America in 1855, but the first documentation to place him in Utah is a church ordinance performed 15 November 1856. Further research is needed to determine the year he came to Utah and the name of the company he traveled with.The 1855 Siddons ship manifest shows him traveling with 19-year-old Elizabeth Smith.
