William Tait
He traveled from San Bernardino with John Robinson and Phillip B. Lewis for Utah, leaving that place on 15 Feb. 1856. He left his son, John, in the care of Caroline Barnes Crosby.
He later participated as one of the rescuers that were sent out in the winter of 1856 to assist the members of the Church stranded in Wyoming. His wife was a member of the Willie Company and was among those he went out to help.
