In Family search his grandson Rulon Kent Wood, wrote in July 15, 2017, for Seegmiller Family Reunion about him. He said "He was called as Mission President of the Brazilian Mission ... At the beginning of world War 11, with the assignment of closing that mission and sending the young elder missionaries home to join in the armed forces to defend the United States, he and Grandma Seegmiller were asked to stay and care for the Saints in Brazil. "
