William Wilkin

William and Sarah sailed to America in 1851 on the ship George W. Bourne.

His birth date is confirmed by his rebaptism in Salt Lake City on 7 December 1851 in the Salt Lake Stake Record of Members, page 71.

The first documentation to place them in Utah is their rebaptism in December 1851.  They may have traveled to Utah with his brother David in the the Wilkin Freight Train in 1851, but there is no roster for this company which would confirm this.  Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company with which they traveled to Utah.
