William Willard Hutchings
In his initial trip the valley in 1850, William served as captain of the third ten. The roster indicates he was traveling in a group of four people. Several years later, he worked as a teamster or night guard in David H. Cannon's out-and-back company.
The inscription on his gravestone shows her birth date as 2 April 1823, but his death certificate shows the date as 3 April 1823.
