Organized 15 December 1896 as the Colorado Mission. John W. Taylor arrives in Denver with three other missionaries. Originally the mission only comprised the state of Colorado. But 4 years later November 1900 the states of Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota were transferred to the Colorado Mission.
Due to the mission expansion the name changed to the Western States Mission on 1 April 1907.
