300 individuals were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post at Wyoming, Nebraska (the west bank of the Missouri River about 40 miles south of Omaha). According to Andrew Jenson's autobiography, this company was known as the "Sanpete train" because most of the teamsters and teams in this out-and-back company came from the Sanpete Valley.
Members of the company arrived in the Salt Lake Valley on 7, 22 October 1866.
