From the 17 October 1860 edition of the Deseret News:
...a company under the charge of Captain Elisha Mallory, of Weber County, numbering nineteen wagons and thirty-eight men, besides women and children, most of whom have stopped in northern settlements.
From the obituary of Charlotte Nye:
A company of 20 wagons assembled at Carson City and under the leadership of Elisha Malory [Elisha Mallory] of Willow Creek, Box Elder County, traversed the Humboldt route to Utah, being harrassed [sic] by Indians the whole distance and reaching Ogden about the middle of October.
