The Isaac Canfield Company left Salt Lake City for the East in 1861, taking several men who were departing for missions.  It headed back to Salt Lake City on 30 July 1862.

When the company began its journey from the outfitting post at Florence, Nebraska (now Omaha), there were 132 individuals in the company.

Members of the company arrived in the Salt Lake Valley from 16-17 October 1862.
