The company began its journey 4 June 1864. At the time of departure, the company consisted of approximately 20 wagons. A party of Missourians en route to Oregon joined the wagon train. William D. Pritchett of Virginia was elected captain and many of the Missourians opposed this election. The company had a few encounters with Indians but only one recorded injury resulted from these encounters.
The company reached Salt Lake City on 31 August-1 September 1864.
