Transcript for "Katherine Perkes Harris, reminiscences", DUP Pioneer History Collection.

We traveled with the Captain [Henry W.] Miller Church train, the fifth to leave Florence with ox teams. The Pioneers walked most of the way as the wagons were loaded with food, clothing, and other supplies.

We started in the spring of 1862 and arrived in Salt Lake, City Oct. 18, of that year.
