Transcript for "Albert C. Lyon Called by Death," Deseret Evening News, 27 December 1916, 2

At the residence, 242 north Second West, Albert C. Lyon died Tuesday at noon, age 84 years. He was son of John B. Lyon and Arvilla Olcott of Lunenburg, Vt. He came to Utah in Harlow Redfield's company, arriving Aug. 17, 1859. He was born Sept. 15, 1832, and married Susan M. Redfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Redfield, pioneers, Sept. 27, 1860. They had four children, all of whom died in childhood.

He is survived by his widow, an adopted daughter, Kate; two brothers, Andrew J. and Wanen Lyon; and two sisters, Clarissa Dodge and Alma Dodge, all of whom live in Vermont. Since coming to Salt Lake he has always lived in the Sixteenth ward. From its first issue, Mr. Lyon has been a constant subscriber to The Deseret News.

Funeral services will be held at the residence Friday at 12 o'clock noon. Interment at city cemetery.
