1858 Alfred Randall [at right margin] Febr 19th 1819. Moved from place of birth to Kirtland Ohio. I assisted to clear off the timber on which the temple is built. 1830. Fathers family moved to Munson O. 1831. I went to Menter [Mentor] Geaugo [Geauga] to labor for myself. I was present at Joseph Smith's first appointment for a meeting in Kirtland. 1832 Bought a farm in Munson. 1834 I married Emerett [Emmerette] L. [Louisa] Davis 1838 Sold out my farm and moved my family to Chardon Geaugo Co. 1839. Sold and moved to Quincy Ill. here worked at carpenter business. 1840. Baptised May 12th by O. Hyde. Ordained deacon by Jacob Crouse. 1841. Moved to Nauvoo labored on the temple 1842. There ordained an elder by Pres Williams (Went to Ohio on a visit 1841) Accompanied the prophet Joseph to Monmoth trial on the Missouri Writ. Rec'd patriarchal blessing of John Smith 1843 Returned to Nauvoo. 1844 Accom- panied Joseph & Hiram to Carthage jail. June 26 returned to Nauvoo, the mob drove us from Carthage at the point of the bayonet. I heard gov'r Ford informed of the plan to kill Joseph & Hiram. Gov's replied "hold your tongue if you know any such thing." 1845. Ordained into 15th quorum of seventies by H. C. Kimball. 1846 Sherriff called upon me to assist in taking Sharp & Demming . 1847 Moved to Winter quarters. H. C. Kimball sent me to Ohio on business. 1848. Sick with fever and ague at Winter Quarters 1849. Married Margaret Harley. Jany 29th. Moved in H. C. Kimball's Co to G. S. L. and Citty 1850. Assisted to build a mill in North Mill Creek Kanyon for H. C. Kimball. 1851 built me a house in 17th Ward. 1852 Assisted to build A. [Archibald] Gardener's mill on Jordan. 1853. Built another house on another lot, and built an adobe school house 17th ward. 1854 built an addition 31 x 24 ft. 1855. April con- ference appointed on a mission to White Mountains. Baptized ten Indians in Beaver Valley. 1856 framed a roof for the court house 12th ward 1857. Took up a piece of land on Weber grasshoppers destroyed my crop. 1859. Dec [at right margin]
