10. At what place did you join the company or wagon train with which you came to Utah?
10. Florence, Nebraska.

11. When did it leave for Utah?
11. Near the 15th of June 1863.

12. What was the place of your destination in Utah? Why did you come to Utah?
12. Salt Lake City, Utah. For the Gospel.

13. When did you arrive there?
13. Sept. 5, 1863.

14. Who was the leader of your company?
14. John S. [F] Sanders, Captain of the wagon train.

15. Method of travel (handcart, ox team, mule team, horseback, etc.
15. Ox team. Mrs. Anderson with her mother walked the entire distance, except crossing rivers, often she with her mother and a number of other women, as many as 25 would walk ahead of the train. (to avoid the dust.) and sing songs as they marched. It is her opinion that the greater part of the people of this train were from Scandenavia.

31. Do you recall seeing any buffalo or hunting any wild game? If so, tell about some incident.
31. Never saw a buffalo while crossing the plains nor in Utah.

34. Tell about coming to your state in a covered wagon.
34. With her mother, Mrs. Anderson walked the entire distance accross the plains, one day they were some distance ahead of the train, became very thirsty then noticed a nice green spot to one side of the trail, thinking there must be water there they set off for it. It was much farther than it appeared to be. When they got there, there was no water to be found, so they started the return march. The train had stopped for camp, much to their surprise and delight, that they might not be repromanded [reprimanded] for the act. They returning gathered their aprons full of buffalo chips for cooking the evening meal. Resolving not to do anything of this kind again. After the evening meal and before retireing for the night families or groups would gather round and sing hymns, tell stories, and have music. The entire group would retire early. Always after prayer, and this followed by a family prayer.
