<p xmlns:its="http://www.w3.org/2005/11/its" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> Alternate spelling of first name as Albern.  Enlisted in the Mormon Battalion.  Arrived in the Great Salt Lake Valley in 1847, his family arriving in 1848.  Was a senior president of the 33rd Quorum of Seventy.  Served two terms in the Utah legislature from Weber county.  In the spring of 1857, was called on a mission to Canada.  After his mission, he acted as a counselor to Bishop Edward Bunker of the Ogden Third Ward.</p>
