On Tuesday the 22nd of June, we left Keokuk for Council Bluffs, 1320 miles.  Reached the upper ferry of the Missouria [Missouri] River on the 19th of July.  On the 11 of August 1853, my wife gave birth to her third son on the Platt[e] River, at 7 oclock in the morning, name Brigham Oram.
