I found Eli Whipple and his family getting ready to start for Salt Lake City.  About the 1st of February we started.  There was Eli Whipple's family, James Brimhall and family, and several returning missionaries from their places of labor.  We took our route over the same road that I had traveled before.  
<p xmlns:its="http://www.w3.org/2005/11/its" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">I led the company through, and we arrived in Provo City in April, 1857 [1858]. </p>
