Transcript for Binder, William Lawrence Spicer, Resolution of appreciation, in Papers, 1856-1874
At a meeting of the passengers by Captain Horton D. Haight's train, held on Friday evening October 17
th
1862, at Parleys Park, for the purpose of returning thanks to God for his many mercies towards us and the care and protection with which he has surrounded us upon this Journey, the following preamble and resolutions were reported and unanimously adopted.
RESOLVED
That we feel deeply indebted to brother Wm. L. Binder, the Chaplain of this train, for his constant attention to our spiritual welfare, as well as to our temporal comfort in the capacity of Commissary—And, that for his readiness to administer the ordinance of anointing at any time when called upon, our warmest thanks are due—RESOLVED
That a copy of these Resolutions be presented to each of the persons named
