Dear Brother,

Having a favorable opportunity of sending a note to you by the hands of Bro Robt. Gardner & Angus M. Cannon, I transmit to you a list of the names of the persons comprising the Company under my charge, which I have the pleasure to represent as being in good health, and excellent spirits, and also; that the animals though somewhat limited seem to be able for their task.

The foregoing is a correct statement of al those who started as represented, and are now in camp, and I would be happy to furnish in detail further information if necessary, but the brethren who carry this to you will doubtless be able to answer any questions that you may desire.

We have had no sickness, serious accident, or any interuption whatever on our journey. The Lord has been with us, and we have often felt the efficacy of the prayers of the Saints in our behalf.
