We have 15 wagons and one 4 horse carriage.

Dear Brother

You will see from the above, our situation in regard to breadstuff. Our teams are in tolerable good condition. Some of them are a little foot sore. Our wagons will likely hold up, and we will be able to get through. We are the Second Division of the Third Fifty commanded by David Lowe, Captain. We are ahead of all the regularly organized companies. We have had but little sickness, and no deaths. We still keep our spirits up, and are anxious to get through.

No more, but remain

Your brethren
David Lewis, Capt.
