<p xmlns:its="http://www.w3.org/2005/11/its" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">In July I went back on the road to Independence Rock and assisted Geo. A. Smith Emigration company into this valley. We encountered a heavy storm on the pass. Sixty-five head of cattle were killed by the storm. Returned home the last day of Oct. and built an end to my cabin.</p>
