In the following spring we moved into Missouri, stayed there one year then moved to Council Bluffs where we remained untill the spring of 1850 and on the 14 of June of that year left there for the Rocky Mountains.

Now having six children and crossing the plains in William Snows company of 100 wagons and in James <McLellans> McSellans fifty, arriving in Salt Lake City in the middle of October about fifteen dying in the company, of cholera on the journey.
