Provo, Oct. 21.-- Mrs. Mary Nelson, the beloved wife of Lars P. Nelson of the Sixth ward of this city and mother to Bishop Lars L. Nelson of the Second ward, died at her home, corner Fourth West and Third South, of dropsy from which she has been a sufferer for some time. Mrs. Nelson was born in Horvy, Sweden, Feb. 17, 1831. In 1860, she embraced the gospel and the following year came to this country, coming direct to Provo, here she met and became the wife of Lars P. Nelson, who with her son Lars, survive her. She was the mother of two sons, Henry and Lars. Henry dying in early manhood. The deceased has always been an active and ardent worker in the Relief Society having been a teacher for the past 30 years and was only released a few months ago on account of her health. Funeral will be held from the Sixth ward meetinghouse at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
