FOR THE PLAINS.—Elder John G. Holman, who, we understand, has distinguished himself by his indefatigable labors in behalf of the emigration, arrived in this city on Saturday. We met him yesterday in company with his brother Ezekiel and Henson Walker, jun., gathering up matters, and preparing to go out to those now on the plains. As noticed yesterday, a small portion of the emigration (mostly Danes) came in with Elder Charles B. Taylor on Tuesday last, and Elder Holman is now starting to meet the balance of that company and the second company under Henson Walker. Mr. Holman thinks the third company, under W[illiam] S. S. Willis, may be here in about two weeks.
