Dear Br—
I embrace the present oportunity to say that the company under my charge arrived at this <s>day</s>place today in good health &amp; spirits[.] we are in as good traveling condition as companys generally are after coming the distance we have, &amp; have no difficulties but what by our united efforts we are able to overcome 
Some of the oxen begin to get sore footed &amp; will require shoeing[.] If the feed is not to[o] scanty ahead I shall be able to roll through by taking time to do it but the lateness of the season leaves no time for delay besides the provisions will not last longer than about 5 weeks or a trifle over. If some fresh cattle could be sent to expedite the journey at the last end it would be very acceptable[.] we are a mixed multitude from many nations but I am happy to say that the peace &amp; blessing of our God is upon our camp[.] My health is much better than it has been for which I feel truly thankful 
my kind love to you &amp; all the Brethern humbly desiring your faith &amp; blessing &amp; remain your Br &amp; fellow labourer in the Kingdom of God
