 day of Feb 1856 I Emigrated with my two youngest sons to New York leaving behind my Wife Eldest Son & Daughter.  I landed in New York on the 28 day of March 1856 where I laboured at the occupation of Carpentering and Box Making.
<p xmlns:its="http://www.w3.org/2005/11/its" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">I soon raised Money to send for the remainder of My Family   They landed on the 1 day of Jany. 1857    I remained in New York till 2 day of May 1859 When I emigrated with My Family to Florence   On the 9 day of June I Started From Florence with the Hand Cart Company   I drove one team across the plains for said Company   arrived in Great Salt Lake City On the 10 day of September 1859</p>
