[Wednesday June 6] We started on our journey at ¼ past 1 o clock and came about 7 miles and it was a pleasant journey ariving at the Camp Ground about 6 o clock and meating a company of Brotheren from the Valey wich enjoid our Company very Much[.] in the Evening we Had Singing and resetations[.] all had to rise [...] at 3 o clock in the Morning

June 7 had a little Rain Over Night, but Butiful fine Morning. Brother Lyman an[d] Wright 2 of the Twelve Apostels gave us Good enstructions on our journey[.] in the afternoon we had prayers at 8 o clock[.] Brother Cannon Gave us enstructions for our journey[.] we started at 10 o clock in the Morning at 4 o clock in the afternoon we ware Delaid by the Brethren making up there [their] acounts for the journey[.] We arived at a Creek in the evening at 8 o clock P.M.

started the next Morning at ½ past 7 o clock June 8[.] Dry morning and pleasant[.] we arived at Alhorn [Elkhorn] at ½ past 12 o clock and then we pich our Tent and I went to fishing and caut 2[.] we stop here till the next Day

June 9 fine Day but the air rather Could [cold] the first thing. started at ½ past 5 o clock and stop on the Road to take Dinner and over took the Waggon[.] we then proceded on to Fremont and 2 Miles beyond and then encamp for the night and Leaving here at 7 o clock an[d] had a splendid Camping Place that we have had

June 10 started at 7 o clock but it came on Wet and we had to stop at ¼ past 9 o clock and fix up our Tents for shelter[.] it thunderd an[d] litining an Rain very fast

Sunday stayed at Barber this Day[.] we ware all wet through an the Rain an Hail fell in Torents. we had sacrement meating in the Afternoon bet[w]een the Storme

June 11 Monday a Butiful Morning[.] Some Washing an some Drying Close [clothes.] we started at ½ past 1 o clock an Proceded to North Bend[.] it was very heavy Travling[.] we arived at there at ½ past 7 o clock. I am on wach to night

June 12—Departed from North Bend at 7 o clock a Butiful Morning an the Han[d]carts go Lighter to Day[.] we stopt at 12 o clock for Dinner an then proceded on our journey[.] we stopt on the Road side at 7 o clock in the Evening it came on to Rain an keep on all night with Thunder an Liting[.] every thing was so Wet most of them Co[u]ld not make a fire because it was so wet[.] it held up for a time in the Afternoon an we Started about ¼ to 2 o clock[.] Ariving at our Stoping place about 8 o clock[.] we ware all very tired an Wore Out[.] it was Dark to Do our Cooking[.] it was splended

Thursday June 14 fine Morning but severl not well[.] ¼ past 8 o clock W[h]en we Started this Morning ariving at Columbus at 5 A.M. to 1 o clock[.] the Day was very warm[.] we Staid here all Day an Proceded on the next Morning at ½ past 11 o clock

June 15 ariving at our stoping Place about 8 o clock about 7 miles from fort Carney [Kearny] an a Butiful Morning[.] we proceded on to the Ferrey and we arived there about 10 o clock in the Morning and started about 1 o clock

June 15 [16] this Place is a Indian Settlement

Jun 17 Sunday had a Good Meating in the Morning an Afternoon an Evening

June 18 preparing for the ferrey all arive Over safe by Sun Set

Tuesday 19 started on our journey again at 6 oclock A.M. goin 17 miles the oxen got myerd an we ware obl[i]ge to Help them Out stoping at 7 o clock in the evening[.] I was on G[u]ard part of the Night an it thunderd an Litening and it was very Warm

we Had a little Sprincle of Rain in the Morning[.] started at 7 oclock June 20 fine morning an Travling a Long Distance about 20 miles to the Loan [Lone] Tree Having a Meating in the Evening for strangers

June 21 fine Morning[.] we traveld all Day an stop about 2 Miles from the Town[.] the Cattle ware tierd out

June 22 Rather Dull Morning[.] Only goin a few miles an we met some Breathren from the Valey[.] we had a Meating in the Evening with Good enstructions by Joseph W[.] Young an after Meating we Had fidling an Dancing an the[y] all enjoid themselves

June 23 We started at ¼ past 5 oclock and the Brethren was Delighted to see us progress on our Journey [illegible] we Cross Wood river about nea [knee] Deep an we came a few miles farther and then Camp for the Day there was one Sister Left behind a few miles but the Pilot went Back after her

June 24 Sunday a good Meating in the Morning an Teacher Came around to know how Your standing was in the Church[.] in the Afternoon we had a Testemoney Meating an in the Evening a nother Meating by Brother [Mark H.] Foshet [Forscutt] on the Baptisiam for the De[a]d

Do 25 Started about ½ past 5 oclock Traveling about 10 Miles an then Resting for Dinner[.] started the han[d]carts in the Afternoon about 4 Miles a Waggon Axel Tree Broke an we Had to stop to put a new one in Working all night to get it Done[.] there was wild plums grew here but the[y] ware not Ripe

we Started the next Day at 4 o clock June 26 and Travild 19 miles and Caut the Handcarts at night. I was more Fetege [fatigued] not having to Draw a Han[d]cart

June 27 started on our journey but Rather Rough Road[.] the folks shot at Buffelos saw 3 but did not kill one[.] we Travild on till night and then Camp for the night[.] on wach During the night

June 28 the Road was very good[.] we stop a few minuits a[t] ¼ past 9 o clock at a Camping Ground an here was a <Tender for was pack across a Stream by a Woman & she sit Down when She got half way across for a Quarter> Mormon Grave of a Child 3 Days Old Bered [buried] July 14, 1859[.] we Travild on till afternoon an then Taking our rest

June 29 Started at 6 o clock having a Long journey to perform an it was 9 oclock when we got to the Camping Ground. [blank space] the saints ware all very tierd[.] it was a Butiful Day for Travling

June 30 Saturday a Butiful Morning[.] Rather Damp Camping place

July 1 Sunday a good Meating in the Morning a Councel Held among the Brother[h]ood an the [blank space] Instructions from the Church a good Testemoney Meating in the Evening an one Sister spoke in toungs [tongues.] as we proceded on Our journey that no evel should befall us if we ware faithful an a Brother spoke belonging to the Waggon Company, an a Company past us this Day with freight for the Valey

July 2 a Butiful Day Travling a bout 19 miles on the [blank space] end of the journey was very Rough

Sunday <Tues> July 3 a Butiful Morning an the Place was quite a Seanery the hiles [hills] on one Side and Valey on the Other[.] we started about 5 o clock from this Place an stoping about the Middle of the Day to Dinner an it was Butiful[.] Water in this Place[.] we Travild on till night was about 18 Miles[.] not Much Wood in this Place

July 4 a Butiful Morning an we Travild about mile an saw a Butiful spring the Largest I ever saw[.] after we Left the spring we came to a Small river an we Caut [caught] a Grate Many fish an Stop there to Dinner[.] we Travild on about 2 Miles an stop for the Night

July 5 a Butiful Day but Rather Rough, an[d] 2 very Muddy Creeks we had to wade through them[.] Travling about 2 Miles an then Camp for the night

July 6 stoping in this Camping place to Day a Sister [Mary McIntyre McAllister] was confind in the night with a Girl [Agnes Marion McAllister] wich delaid us in this place an sirving out provisions for the week an a Company of Preachers from the Valey arived here Late in the Evening

July 7 started at 4 o clock an ariving at our Camping Place about 10 o clock we had Sirvises [Services] at Muddy Creek to pas[s] over[.] met a Company of Mule Trains from the other side of the Valey a goin East[.] Camp for the Day b[e]side a Large Creek an there was lots of fishing there
