Transcript for Henderson, William, Autobiographical sketch 1929, [1]

My father [Robert Henderson] bought two yoke of oxen and a new shutter wagon, and we crossed the plains in Captain Horton [D.] Haight's Company, being eight weeks on the trip. Myself a boy of twelve years old and driving a team where the roads were good for one of the teamsters who wen[t] hunting.

We arrived in Salt Lake City at conference time, the 6th day of October, 1863.
