Remarks

My Father John S. Higbee was Hunter for Pioneer Camp In Crossing the Plains. Him and Some others built a Boat at Upper Crossing of Plat[te] and Ferried the Pioneers and Gold Emigration while the River was high. I drove the Train that Brought the Familey over the Plains.

In May 1848 I went with Shadrach Roundy East to Meet the Emigration coming with Brigham Young with Cattle & wagons.
