Transcript for "Important from the Plains," Semi-Weekly Telegraph, 13 June 1867, 2

SUNDAY MORNING, 9.

IMPORTANT FROM THE PLAINS.—By the politeness of Bishop Sharp we have received the following telegram:

Sulphur Springs, June 8th, 1867.

JOHN SHARP: Your train was attacked yesterday. Yensen, from Ogden, killed. Horses all lost.
HEBER P. KIMBALL.

We understand the Bishop immediately telegraphed back to stop the train till the mule train came up and then to start altogether.

Sharp’s train had only five or six horses in it, when it left here.

Yensen, we are informed, was from Brigham City and not Ogden.
