I killed all the meat for our company. Killed six Buffalo one day and they lasted on the journey. I returned to Winter quarters with Pres. B. Young in 1847. In 1848 I returned to Utah in the Company of Allen Taylor Capt. Of 100, Reddick Allred Cap. of 50. Myself Captain of 10[.] I am very feble and my memory is not as good as I would like it to be; Having been sick for seven years
