I was twenty years old while at Florence, Nebraska.  We left there July 12, 1863 arriving in Salt Lake City Oct. 5th.  Crossing the plains we had a very enjoyable trip.  I with others walked most all of the way.  When we camped we would often have a dance in the evening.  We had the privilege of eating Buffalo meat also Buffalo berries.
