Earned a fittout and in April 1853 started for the valley of the great Salt Lake[.] winded [wended] our way to Council Bluffs[.] travelled from there to Salt Lake Citty in Capt[a]in Moses Clawsons Company[.] ar[r]ived at our mountaine home September 17
