We was only married about one year and two weeks after remaining in gravi untill April 1852[.] I then left in company with others with ox teams for the mounten home or the city of the great Salt Lake (S[t]ate of Deseret) traveling by way Kan[e]sville & councel [Council] bluffs[.] after four months and A few days traveling we at last arived in the city of the great Salt lake some time in the month of August about 14th 1852. I injoyed tolerable good health on the way with the exception of A few weeks sickness with fever and Ague.
