We crost the plains in Captain Daniel Garns Company[,] my moth[er] walking all the way[,] my Brother William and my Self walk each half ar the way[,] my yonger broth. Ninian riding all of the way[.] at this time i was Six years Old

we reached Salt Lake City the same fawl [fall]
