Simon Carter Report 1835 May the 4 1835 Being recommended bye the High Counsel in the borders of the Land of Zion I performed the mission as follows. Commencing November the 17 1835 & ending May 4th 1835 Taking water in Clay Co Mis & Sailed to St Lewis & Crossed the Mississippi into Illenois from thence Preaching bye the way to Clinton Co & Br Brown traveled with me & in Company with Brethren H.g. G.H. baptised about 70 & from thence South to Washington & Baptised 30 & from thence South to St. Clear Co & Baptized 20 & in these places laid hands on many that ware Sick & they ware healed & from thence to Indianna in Company with Br Brown Preaching bye the way to Sugar Creek & Baptized 9. & from thence to Ohio & to Kirtland we Ordained one Elder & Six Priest & two & Preached about one hundred times Simeon Carter Simeon Carter Journal
