May 21 we left St Joseph by the steamer St Marea and we landed at Florence on the 25. after waiting about 2 weeks for our outfit on the 6 of June we received our Hand-Carts and was Organised in to 7 companys of tens and 4 Persons to Each Hand Cart. 4 Companys of English and 3 Companys of Skandinaviens and I was Captin of one company[.] on the 9 of June we set out on the Plains and on the 4 of September we arived in SLC
