Transcript for Owens, Abigail Burr, [Autobiographical sketch], in Irene Adell Webb Merrell, comp., Edward Milo Webb, His Ancestors and Descendants [1948], 129

Two of the children who survived her, lost their husbands while crossing the 'plains' during the exodus coming to the 'valleys'-both being left widows with families of small children.

Abigail Cordelia went with her son-in-law, Edward Milo Webb, down into Missouri where he went to get an outfit to cross the plains. In 1852 she crossed the plains with her sons, Horace Burr and James Clark Owens. They were in Archibald G. Gardner's or Benjamine A Johnson's Company, said Horace Burr, and Mark Hall was captain of their ten.
