E. R. Young, Esq., returned from the East yesterday; we glean the following information from him.
Butterfield and Co. dispatched 200 wagons-mule and ox teams, from Atchison [Kansas], Sep. 1st, having goods on board for Eldredge and Clawson, E. R. Young and Sons, Dallen and Sutherland, Bourne and Needham, F. D. Cliff, T. D. Brown and others, which are expected to arrive about 1st Nov. next.
Owing to the immense amount of rain that has fallen, the roads became in such a condition that some trains were as long as two months getting from Atchison to Kearney. Only three uninterruptedly fine days were experienced in seven weeks, the roads in consequence, were nearly impassable.
Captain [Miner G.] Atwood's Church train of 50 wagons, were 350 miles from the Missouri river on the 1st of Sept. He had with him ten mule wagons belonging to W. S. Godbe. Captain Holden's train is ten days behind. All the trains are now making good time.
A severe snow storm was experienced on Bitter Creek, Sep. 7th. Snow, one foot deep.
Mr. Young is ten days from Denver; he heard of the Indians all the time, but saw none on the road.
