Transcript for Savage, C. R., [Daybook], in "Church Emigration Book."

Captain Franklin Brown left Florence in charge of a small company of Saints consisting of 60 persons, with 14 wagons and about 80 head of stock. Charles R. Savage was the chaplain and secretary of this company. Having arrived on the Weber River, the company divided, some of the emigrants going down that stream to Ogden, while others took the left hand road to Provo; the balance went direct to Salt Lake City, where they arrived on the 28th or 29th of August. One death occurred during the overland journey.
