I was assentnt captain &amp; Wagon Master for the whole Company. in Travling across the plains we had a skirmish with the indians four of our number got shot but soon ricovered. they stole a danish girl and was herd of no more. I had a sevire full of sickness on the plains I landed in S L City on the 20 Oct 1865, having Walked about 800 miles.</xhtml:p>
